We understand that work isn't confined to a physical location, but at the same time, we know that real human connections make us thrive and enjoy the process. Our hybrid workspace seamlessly blends the virtual and the real world, allowing our team members to choose how and where they work best every day.

Physical Environment
Our story
We've known from the beginning that it was important to be physically surrounded by like-minded, ambitious, hard-working people. With that in mind, our first office ended up being in Montevideo's LATU, the largest technology park in Uruguay, and this was key during our initial phase. Our offices were in the same building and zoning block that dozens of other technology companies and start-ups. Companies in technology centers consistently have superior outcomes than companies in more isolated environments. It's pretty obvious why: constantly interacting, bouncing off ideas and consulting with competent people is fertile land for growth.
All this started in 2019 when we got our first office space. We got so comfy there that by 2020, we needed not one, but two offices to fit our dreams. But guess what? Dreams kept growing, and by 2021, we need a place to call our own, That's when we inaugurated our awesome Light-it HQ in Punta Carretas, Montevideo, Uruguay. Hold on, though, 'cause the story doesn't stop! 2022 rolled in, and we expanded our HQ, duplicating it in size.
2023 came along, and it was time to spread our wings. That's when we opened our very first office branch, home to our team based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
And that's the story of how we've been weaving our own web of growth and awesomeness, one space at a time.

Breaking Down Walls: We believe in tearing down walls – both metaphorically and literally. Our open offices are designed to promote horizontality, unity and human interaction. We don't have seats, we're all on this journey together, regardless of titles or departments.
Connections That Count: Sure, we have meeting rooms, but we consider them collaboration hubs, where ideas collide and innovations are born. Our spaces are designed to encourage interaction, spark creativity, and nurture connections.
Choose to Be Here: We get it – remote work is a fantastic, that's why we have a Hybrid workspace, and coming to the office is optional. But why settle for a home office when you can have an extraordinary one? We've turned our spaces into irresistible retreats. With daily lunches, snacks that hit the spot, specialty coffee that's pure bliss, and a daily splash of brews – we're creating an environment that's not just functional but undeniably enjoyable.

Digital Environment
Just as we nurture our physical workspace, our digital environment is equally crucial to us. With teams spanning across three countries – Uruguay, Argentina, and the United States – productivity, seamless communication, and comfort in the virtual workspace is a top priority for us.
Top Tools for Seamless Collaboration
Slack: Picture this as our virtual office, where the hum of conversation never fades. Slack isn't just a chat tool; it's our digital home for discussions, ensuring everyone's on the same page.. It's the glue that holds our teams and clients together. We've even crafted a Slack Guide e to make sure everyone's in sync.
Slite: Knowledge is our treasure, and Slite is our vault. Every nugget of wisdom, every guide, and every piece of information finds a home here. It's where we store our collective genius, making it accessible to all. Note: this playbook is actually hosted in Slite!
Clickup: It's our project management command center. Here, we track tasks, and monitor progress sprint by sprint. We invite our clients into the Clickup board, ensuring they're always in the loop.
Figma: Figma is our main design tool. We chose it not just because of it's epic functionality, but also because it allows interactive and real-time collaboration.
GitHub: We're active contributors to the open-source community. When we use open-source tools, we give back by enhancing them and sharing updates with the community.

Anima Group: Anima is a program that provides a Technological High School education for students coming from low-income backgrounds. At Light-it, we proudly partner with Anima, and give the opportunity to two students to participate in an internship, where they learn and practice their skills.
